The service and the staff was the highlight of the experience . The food was good , but the reservation notes were clearly not read :( . I booked a surprise birthday reservation and I expected them to follow that and they didn’t The dessert took forever and it almost took us two reminders before we got it . Kids eat well , but the pizza was almost burnt at the edges

Loved this place! The creative menu, awesome food, friendly service, and their cocktail game is on point. Absolutely loved the milk punch - I was surprised to see it on the menu because those take a lot of time, most places can’t be bothered, and this was the best I had. Complex, refreshing, balanced. Also loved the chicken liver mousse - pretty interesting to pair that with strawberry, but it worked. Only thing I didn’t care for was the gnocchi - the garlic was burnt and bitter, and they were a little gummy.

Absolutely love this place...a few of the girls from work and I have met up at Oak & Rye in Los Gatos a handful of times and it's always so delicious... we love the arugula salad...Beets...the gnocchi is so delicious... I always forget the name of the pizzas but all of the ones that we've tried have been so so good !!! We always order a bunch of stuff and just eat family style !!!

Oak & Rye is right on Santa Cruz Avenue in downtown Los Gatos, and reservations are highly recommended. We went on a chilly December evening. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. The heat lamps work well enough to be comfortable. Inside, there is a mix of regular and bar height tables, which gives it a lively feel. The arugula was a highlight, especially if you like whole anchovies. The tomato soup was a bit acidic, but the garlic bread with it was excellent. Wings were average, and the chili sweet sauce was the only one that stood out. The pizzas were pretty good. They are wood fired, with puffy crusts and a slight char, if you like that style. Service was slow and a bit scattered. Our server tried to be funny, but the focus was not there. At one point, we had already paid and were brought the check again, which was confusing. Took forever to get boxes and finally went in to get them myself. Good pizza, but the service needs work.

This place lives up to the hype! The Scottie 2 Hottie pizza was delicious (hot honey pizza), Brussels sprout salad was divine and the gnocchi was delectable!! Plus everyone working here was so sweet and kind, the hostess went out of her way to help us and our server gave the best recommendations. Can’t wait to come back and show our friends this spot!
